At Sammy Anne’s we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our web site and subscribers to our newsletters. Here you’ll find information on how we treat data that we collect from visitors to our website, or when someone subscribes to our newsletter.

Visitors to our Website

When someone visits we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will clearly state this, for example in the form of a sign up button for newsletters which will ask for your contact details.
We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it, how we will store it and how long we intend to store it for.

Newsletter Sign Up

As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information to tell you about new products; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to ask your views on our offer.
We do not rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

Treatment Records

If you come to us for treatments we will ask you to complete a questionnaire prior to your first treatment and will update this on each visit with notes of changes to health data and treatments received. This record is regarded as confidential data and is held accordingly. We will confidentially and securely retain this data for 7 years after the date of your last treatment unless you request that we delete it prior to this. If you wish to request that your records are deleted please contact Sammy.

Access to Your Personal Information

You are entitled to access the personal information that we hold. Requests should be emailed to Sammy who has responsibility for our data compliance.

Cancellation and Deposit


1) By booking an appointment with us you agree to comply with our cancellation policy.


2) If your treatment costs more than £40, when making a booking you will be required to pay a deposit of £20 for your treatment.


3) This deposit will be used as part payment towards your treatment and is fully refundable should you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment.


4) If you cancel with less than 24 hours before your appointment or fail to attend your appointment you will lose your deposit and will be charged in accordance with our cancellation policy.


5) If we don’t receive 24 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment you will be required to make payment for the full cost of the treatment you booked the appointment for by way of bank transfer, card payment or PayPal.


6) The payment required under clause 4 above will be immediately due and payable upon you giving less than 24 hours’ notice to us or upon your failure to attend the appointment.


7) You may permit another person to attend your appointment in your place provided that you inform us of the name of the individual attending your appointment before they attend the salon. 


8) Only extenuating circumstances will be considered as an exception to our cancellation policy and any decision to grant dispensation is at our complete discretion.


9) Any decision to grant dispensation on a particular occasion shall not be deemed to be dispensation or consent for any future occasions on which the cancellation policy is not adhered to.


10) No failure or delay by us exercise any right or remedy we have under this clause or by law shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of such right or remedy shall prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.


11) If we are required to enforce our rights under this clause against you we reserve the right to claim interest and the costs of enforcement from you together with the sums due under this clause as a debt.


12) Please note that we have had to implement this policy as failure to provide adequate notice or failure to attend appointment costs us money, and we are required to cover the cost of our staff who attend the salon for appointments even if the customer does not attend if inadequate or no notice of cancellation is given.
